A Child Waits

A Child Waits Foundation is a non-profit charitable foundation that provides low interest loans to qualified prospective parents who might otherwise not be able to adopt due tofinancial constraints. Loans of up to $10,000 or 50% of the total adoption costs (whichever is lower) are available for international adoptions.

Adoption Financing.Com has developed this form to help expedite the pre-qualification process. By filling out and sending the information requested, you will be under NO obligation and the initial financial review will cost you NOTHING.


Adoptive Families Association of BC

Adoptive Families Association of BC has international adoption loans from $10,000 to $20,000 available through the NationalBank of Canada. The interest rate is consumer prime plus three-quarters percent. You have 15 years to pay off the loan with no penalty for earlypayment. If you provide all of the required information to the National Bank, the review of your application takes approximately one week to process. Building Families Adoption Loan Program

Families Thru International Adoption and Old National Bank have teamed together to provide to families the Building Families adoption loan program. For more information about this program, please visit your nearest Old National banking center or call Old National Bank at 1-800-731-BANK. This program applies to families living in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Hebrew Free Loan Association

Hebrew Free Loan Association interest-free loans are available to Jewish adults who wish to adopt children internationally or domestically. A single person or couple, after demonstrating additional need, may borrow up to $10,000 toward the expenses incurred for the adoption of a child. (Further support may be available in special circumstances.) The repayment schedule for up to $5,000 is over a three-year period. The repayment period for $5,002 to $10,000 is over a five-year period.

Home Equity Loan or Refinancing

For Homeowners, there are many options available with some loan programs allowing for borrowing up to 125% of your home loan value. Consult your tax advisor regarding the possible tax benefits of this loan option. You can compare rates available with your local banks and mortgage brokers.


Jewish Free Loan Association

Jewish Free Loan Association provides interest-free loans for adoption and in vitro fertilizaton to Jews and non-Jews alike. You must show proof of need and have two qualified co-signers.

Oxford Adoption Foundation, Inc.

Oxford Adoption Foundation's objective is to help families who could not proceed with the adoption process without additional financial assistance. Before potential adoptive families can apply to their foundation, they should first try to obtain funds from other sources such as friends, relatives, home equity loans, etc. Their typical loan is $5,000 per adopted child and the loan is 0% interest for the first three years; 3% interest for the next three years; and 6% interest for the remaining three years. There is a $100 application processing fee (nonrefundable) for all applicants which must be sent with the application material.


The ABBA Fund

The ABBA Fund provides financial assistance to Christian couples who need help with the "cash flow crunch" posed by adoption expenses. Adopting couples may request financial assistance in any amount, based upon their needs. The couple will enter into a covenant agreement with The ABBA Fund whereby the couple agrees to reimburse The ABBA Fund in manageable monthly payments. Financial assistance provided by The ABBA Fund is interest free. Couples seeking assistance must complete an application, and assistance will be provided by The ABBA Fund in stages as the adoption process moves along.

WACAP (World Association For Children & Parents)

WACAP
*The WAITING CHILD LOAN FUND - offers interest-free loans up to $5,000, repayable over 3 years for families adopting through WACAP.
*WAITING CHILD FEE REDUCTION- Most waiting WACAP children are approved for a fee reduction. Varies from $500-$4,000. depending on the child's situation. Considering factors include age, diagnosis, country, and how long WACAP has advocated for a home for the child.
*Both the loan and fee reduction funds are contingent upon sufficient funds being in those accounts at the time that the family is applying for them (after homestudy approval).
